Norwalk Green.

Centrally located in the City of Norwalk, Connecticut, is The Green, a public gathering place dating back to the 1600’s. Today there are many public events held on The Green including the Summer Concert Series and the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting. The Norwalk Green is a publicly held park that is owned, operated and maintained by the First Taxing District of the City of Norwalk, Connecticut. The Board of Commissioners of the First Taxing District provide governance over this historic park. Meetings of the Board are open to the public. Chairwoman
Elsa Peterson Obuchowski has lived in the First Taxing District since 1994. Elsa was Treasurer of the First Taxing District before becoming a Commissioner in 2018.

Commissioner
Thomas Cullen has been a Norwalk resident for over 35 years and was elected Commissioner of the First Taxing District in 2016.  He's been highly involved in public service for more than 25 years.

Commissioner

Jalin T. Sead is a lifetime resident of Norwalk and was appointed Commissioner in January of 2020. Previously he was Treasurer of the First Taxing District from August of 2018 to January of 2020.
